Robert "Bob" Joseph Decker, 80, of Oregon City, Oregon, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 12, 1945, in Portland, Oregon, Bob lived a life rooted in hard work, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He led by example-quietly and humbly-with a strong work ethic, deep integrity, and a heart full of kindness.

Bob was known for his gentle sense of humor and ability to find joy in the simple things. Whether sharing a laugh, lending a helping hand, or offering a listening ear, he made those around him feel seen, supported, and loved. His unconditional love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, and he took great pride in being a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

He enjoyed golf, volunteering at his church, fantasy football, fantasy hockey, and spending time outdoors. One of his greatest pleasures was teaching his grandchildren how to fish, sharing his skills, patience, and appreciation for nature.

Bob is survived by his sister, Helen Liere (Ray) of Canby, Oregon; his brother, Gordon Decker (Raeann) of Spokane, Washington; and his children: Stephanie Decker of Ilwaco, Washington; Michael Decker (Stacey) of Lake Oswego, Oregon; and Alicia White (David) of Canby, Oregon.

He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Caedon Decker, Deven McCarthy, Benjamin White, Maddox White, Gavin Harlan, and Caroline Decker.

Bob is also survived by one Great- Grandchild, Jackson Michael McCarthy, several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends whose lives he touched with kindness and generosity.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Decker; his mother, Caroline Decker; and his sister, Carol Johnson.

A memorial service celebrating Bob's life will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Oregon City.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the H.O.P.E. Program at First Evangelical Church, an organization Bob dedicated many years to.
